One of the most common knee injuries, elongation or ACL Tearing Is.

ACL Tearing More in athletes who contribute to heavy sports such as football and basketball.
Approximately half of all injuries of the anterior cruciate ligament are associated with damage to other knee structures such as articular cartilage, meniscus or other lygamette. Incomplete paremia of the anterior cruciate ligament is rare and most ACL damage is complete or close to complete.
In the injury of the anterior cruciate ligament, based on the amount of damage and the level of activity of the person, you may need surgery to revive full knee function.

The knee joint is also composed of three adjacent bones and the tibia and patella. The patella that is placed on the front of the knee to partially play the knee protective role against injuries. The connection between these three bones is mstihm by the ligaments.

In the knee, four ligaments in the ligament, like strong ropes, are kept together. One of these ligaments is the anterior cruciate ligament. The anterior cruciate ligament is placed in the middle of the knee, and prevents the front and rear movement of the femur on the leg and the rotation of these two bones.

Cause of injury

The anterior cruciate ligament can be torn in the following scenarios:
Sudden change for sudden stopping
Slow down running speed
Wrong landing during a jump
Accident or direct collision of two people like football matches
Injury in ACL in female athletes is greater than men. This is due to a difference in physical fitness, muscle strength and neuromuscular control.
Other possible causes of difference in pelvic and lower extremity angles, more Shelley ligaments and estrogenic effects on the ligament properties are.

Cause of injury
When tearing the anterior cruciate ligament, you may hear a “pop” sound and feel the knee is gone from under your foot. Other common symptoms can be noted in pain with swelling which usually will swell within 24 hours of knee. If there is no action, usually the swelling and pain will be resolved by itself. However, if you have a tendency to participate in exercise, your knee will become unstable and this instability is a risk of a knee-meniscus injury. The loss of motion range of knee, local pain in the joint, the feeling of ambiguous discomfort when walking, also other symptoms of rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament .

Doctor Examinations

During the first visit, your doctor will discuss your medical history and symptoms. During physical examination, your doctor will examine all the affected structures and compare them to your healthy knees. Most injuries of the ligaments can be detected with a thorough knee examination. Other tests that may help your doctor have a simple and so-called graphy
However, if the ligament is torn in the clinical examination, I do not have the necessary.

Treatment

Treatment of this damage will vary depending on the needs of the patient’s individual. For example, a young athlete engaged in active sports, for a safe return to exercise usually needs surgery. However, people with less activity levels or older people are usually able to return to a relaxed lifestyle without surgery.
Non-surgical treatment: ACL ripped without surgery will not be repaired. But non-surgical treatment may be appropriate for older patients or individuals with very low activity levels. If the overall stability of the knee is desirable, the doctor may recommend simple non-surgical options.
Brace: Your doctor may recommend the use of brace to protect the unstable knee. Sometimes, in order to support the patient’s knees, based on patients ‘ conditions, it is possible to recommend the use of cane to prevent body weight from exercising on your knees.

Surgical treatment

Reconstruction of the ligament: the anterior cruciate ligament ruptures are not stitched together. For ACL surgery and restoring knee stability, the ligament must be rebuilt. In this surgery, the torn ligament is replaced by tissue transplantation. This link acts as a scaffolding to create a new ligament. Grafts can be obtained from different sources. Most of them are taken from the patella tendon. Hamstring تاندونهای in the back of the thigh are also a good source for transplantation. Sometimes the quadriceps tendon is used. Finally, the link of the body can also be used. There are advantages and disadvantages of all link sources. You need to talk with your orthopedic surgeon about the proper link selection. Since the ligament is re-established and time is over, it takes six months or longer to get an athlete after surgery to return to exercise.
Method:surgery to rebuild the anterior cruciate ligament It is done with the help of arthroscope using small incisions. Arthroscopy surgery is less invasive. The benefits of less invasive techniques include less pain after surgery, less time of hospitalization and faster recovery time. In cases where the injury is in multiple ligaments, usually the reconstruction of the cruciate ligament is done with delay to reduce the inflammation of the joint and allow the normal movement of the knee before Re-establish the surgery. If ACL regeneration occurs very soon, it increases the risk of intra-articular adhesion, which reduces the range of motion.

Recapability

Whether your treatment is surgery or not, rehabilitation plays an important role in returning to your daily activities. A physiotherapy program will help you regain the strength and movement of the knee. If you have surgery, physiotherapy will first focus on the establishment of the joint and the surrounding muscles. Then it begins to look for that reinforcement program to protect new ligaments. The final stage of rehabilitation is the dedicated performance of athlete to return to exercise.

Physiotherapy

After improvement of knee swelling, an accurate rehabilitation program begins. Special exercises help to maintain your knee function and strengthen the calf muscles that are involved in knee stability.
